Ok...a little history.

I met Joan though a newspaper ad 25 years ago.

We dated for about 4 months before deciding to marry.

Both of us were non-believers (Christians).

Joan is one year older than me.

We were in love.

Happy Anniversary

Today marks my 24th wedding anniversary.

Today, I go to work as usual. I come home at regular time. My daughter has kindly made our evening meal. Joan won't eat with the kids and myself today. She sits down at the table after the rest of us are finished. She did say "hello" to me as I got up from the table and as she sat down. That's all she would say to me on this day.

Yes...she can say less.

I'm back at work today after having Monday off. I leave for work before Joan gets out of bed, as is my usual routine. AFter coming home from work, she said "Hello" to me, I said "Hello" back. That was it for the rest of the evening. No more sightings of Joan.

What will Wednesday bring?

How few words can she say

Ok. I'm going to start with the following, actual conversations and time slots:

Monday, October 13:

9:00 am, I sleep in late. I head to the kitchen. Joan is already up and getting her coffee. She says "You're alive". I fell like saying "Sorry about that. Guess you can't collect my life insurance today". I acutally say, "Looks like it."

For the rest of the day I don't see Joan as she avoids contact with me until 7:00pm when we happen to cross paths in the livingroom, when she states "There is soup on t he stove." I say, "Thank you." and head to the bedroom to do some reading.

That's it for Monday.
